                                        As you have probably surmised, in the early 1960s I lived within a stone's throw of Hawthorne
                                        Municipal Airport.   (Literally, one street away).   This late 1962 model was shot on a cloudy
                                        day in March of 1963.  As can be seen, when compared to the original 182, the later models
                                        featured a swept tail in addition to numerous other refinements.   The 182 was normally known
                                        as the Skylane.
