Delta Air Lines
Stinson A NC14598
(c/n 9102)

Two views of the same
aircraft. Both images from Delta Air LInes in the
1940s. The Stinson
Model A was acquired in 1935
and placed into service on the night mail run between Atlanta and
Fort Worth, the most heavily
travelled route. The Stinson A was never a very handsome
aircraft,
but if you want to see a
really ugly conversion, see my entry for the Airlines of Australian
example
VH-UKK.
Shortly after the Model A was placed into service the Stinson Ts were
retired.
