Air West     Boeing 727-193  N898PC         (c/n  19620)

When Air West was formed out of the merger of West Coast Airlines Bonanza Air Lines and
Pacific Air Lines, the three Boeing 727s on the strength of the latter partner passed to the new
airline (which eventually became Hughes Air West).   As indicated in the narrative for the F-27
and DC-9, images of "pure" Air West machines are rare.  The above image is from the Bob
Garrard collection and illustrates the ex Pacific machine at LAX, probably in 1968 since this,
and the other two 727s, were leased out to Braniff in 1969.
