ZK-AMH  Short S.25 Sandringham 4                                   (c/n  SH.55C)

Four Short Sandringhams (a conversion of the Sunderland Mk III long range patrol aircraft)
were acquired by Tasman Empire Airlines in 1946 to replace the Short S.30s. ZK-AMH was
the former RAF Sunderland JM715.  The Sandringhams were not popular with TEAL's crews
and were somewhat short-lived, all having been withdrawn by 1949.   This shot was taken at
Auckland sometime in 1949.    It was sold in Australia in 1950 to Barrier Reef Airways, be-
                                        coming VH-BRC.
