VH-UTI  British Klemm  BK.1 Eagle II  (c/n 109)

                                         

                                    I shot this photograph of VH-UTI whilst it was undergoing maintenance in Illawarra's hangar at
                                    Bankstown in 1952.  At that time it was owned by Griffith Aero Club.   The shot below is from
                                    the Civil Aviation Historical Society of South Australia archives and was taken at Parafield,
                                    probably pre-war, whilst the nice contemporary shot at the foot of the page was taken by Phil
                                    Vabre at the 2013 AAAA Fly-in at Echuca. . This Eagle is one of the aircraft which was in the
                                    late lamented Wangaratta Museum.      It is now privately owned and was rebuilt using parts
                                    gleaned from VH-UUY.     When my photo above was taken it wore a cream paint job with
                                    red trim and registration.  Note Redex 'Round Australia Car Rally Proctor in back.
