VH-TSA (1)  de Havilland D.H.82A Tiger Moth            (c/n  DHA996)

                                

                                     Still; wearing Illawarra Flying School's tail stripes from the days when it was VH-FAH(1), this Tiger
                                     had passed to D.A. Long's Tigerspread (based at Wagga) in February 1956 when this shot, from the
                                     Dave Freeman collection was taken at Bankstown.     It was wrecked at Wagga on 20 March 1957
                                     when it struck a tree on a ridge while engaged in low level dusting.      Its mortal remains reappeared
                                     30 years on as a restoration project, much of it going to create VH-LJM whose c/n is given as 996.
