VH-NOO DHC-2 Beaver 1
(c/n 1535)

This evocative shot was taken by George Canciani at
Rose Bay, Sydney in November of 2004.
VH-NOO was the
former VH-IDI, a crop duster until
1997 when it became a sight seeing float-
plane based in
Sydney. On 31 December 2017, VH-NOO crashed into the
Hawkesbury
River, after
stalling at 200 feet following a water take-off.
The pilot, a Canadian citizen,
had 9000 hours
on Beavers. He, along with the five passengers, tourists who had
watched
the New Years'
display over Sydney Harbour, were sadly all killed
