VH-ILI    Beech 60 Duke                                                  (c/n P-45)

                               
 
                                    This Duke was registered to agents Hawker de Havilland Australia P/L in March 1969.   David
                                    Carter saw it (photo below) at Sydney Airport just after it arrived in 1969 as N7648N.   It was
                                    later sold to Wigmores Tractors P/L of South Guildford, WA, in October 1970.  In 1974 it was
                                    with Hancock Prospecting P/L of Claremont, WA.      After only a few months it was sold again
                                    and registered to Civil Flying Services P/L of Kew, Vic, in May 1975.  Baldwin Investments P/L
                                    of Perth, WA acquired the Duke in 1977, and leased it to Trans-West Air Charter (W.A.) before
                                    being sold to A.D. Blain of Toorak, Vic at the end of 1977.     David Carter's shot above was
                                    taken at Bankstown in 1987.     In 1988 it was reregistered VH-NYI while with Amann Aviation
                                    Pty Ltd of Winnellie, NT.   VH-ILI  was withdrawn from use in 1995 and then in 1999 appeared
                                    restored as VH-ORI., only to be severely damaged later on by vandals at Caboolture Airport.
