VH-DIU  Cessna 150D                              (c/n  15060295)

                            

                                 The above shot shows VH-DIU on the Rex Aviation ramp at Bankstown in September 1965.
                                 It was originally VH-RLV then VH-KMC with Bankstown flying school Navair Pty Ltd before
                                 being traded back to Rex Aviation as VH-DIU in June 1965.     It was sold to Mrs Rosemary
                                 dePierres of Yorkrakine WA in December 1966, and later went to the Bunbury Aero Club, WA.
                                 It was destroyed on 4 August 1972 in a fatal crash while attempting to cross the Great Dividing
                                 Range mountains north of Melbourne in low cloud at the notorious Kilmore Gap. The image below
                                 shows it at Bunbury, WA in April 1970 while with Bunbury Aero Club, still in basically the same
