VH-BWJ  (1)  Auster J/5F Aiglet Trainer                  (c/n  2732)

                                 

                                     Shot taken at Moorabbin in 1958.   VH-BWJ was new in 1953 although was re-registered
                                     VH-UEA shortly after this photograph was taken.   Auster historian Ian O'Neill indicates that
                                     it was struck off the register in 1979, but was resurrected in 1998 as VH-JNT prior to a possible
                                     restoration by Jonathon Collins of Conder, in the ACT.  Its registration was again cancelled in
                                     2002, but is possibly still a candidate for a rebuild.
