VH-BNW de Havilland D.H.82A Tiger Moth
(c/n DHA205)

VH-BNW had just been
civilianized when this shot (from the Geoff Goodall collection) was
taken
at
Maylands some time in 1949. It was previously A17-204, and the
new owner was Douglas Craig,
of
"Yalbalgo" Station, Carnarvon WA. Craig owned several
other aircraft including a Dragon, and
sold this
Tiger in 1952 to Aero Service Pty Ltd at Maylands who immediately
converted it to a crop-
sprayer. It is seen below as such, also at Maylands, in
January 1953 in a photo by John M. Smith
(also via
Geoff). In November 1959 Aero Service reregistered it into the
VH-WF "Westfarmers"
registration block as VH-WFU.
