VH-AKG  de Havilland D.H.82A Tiger Moth            (c/n  DHA792)

There were two Tigers registered VH-AKG (as well as a DC-3 and Beech Baron).  This is
the second of them.  The first was re-registered VH-PCA in 1954.   DHA792 was one of
the production batch slated for RAF Heany, Southern Rhodesia as (DX717).  This one, how-
ever, was never shipped to Africa and went instead to the RAAF as A17-642.   It was civil-
ianized as VH-RNW, then became VH-WFP and VH-TSJ before assuming its VH-AKG
identity in 1963.  Geoff Goodall took this shot of it at Blyth, SA in 1964.   It was damaged
and written off in a storm at Broken Hill in 1968.
