VH-AIT  de Havilland D.H.82A Tiger Moth                     (c/n  82774)

                                       

                                             This photo was taken around late 1951 at Moorabbin by Daryl Mackenzie outside one of the
                                             new hangars erected there after RVAC had made the move from Essendon. A UK-built Tiger,
                                             this aircraft retained its RAF serial of R4842 during the war.    It was to have been civilianized
                                             as VH-AFM(3) but for some reason this was not taken up, and it became -AIT in June 1950.
                                             Acquired by Super Spread, it was reregistered VH-SSE in April 1954.
