Hawker Hedgehog N187
(c/n T.2)

Unique shot of the one and only Hawker
Hedgehog with the wings folded. The Hedgehog was a
three seat
reconnaissance biplane, designed in 1923 and destined for use with the
Fleet Air Arm.
Following
flight testing, however, it was deemed that the machine did not
represent a significant
improvement of
performance over existing contemporary types and the project was
scrapped, but
not
before it had been converted to an amphibious floatplane.
