Gloster Mars VI Nighthawk      Royal Hellenic Army? 

                         

                               The Gloster Mars VI was actually a Nieuport Nighthawk built under licence, with some minimal
                               enhancements.  At least one of the 54 built was supplied to Greece and I suspect that the image
                               acquired from Glosters in the late 1940s (above) may depict that machine, possibly prior to its
                               acquiring full Greek insignia.  I would appreciate confirmation of this by any viewer.   Power was
                               supplied by a 325 hp Bristol Jupiter III and the single seat fighter had twin Vickers machine guns
                               in the nose.
