Bristol 166 Buckmaster

The Buckmaster was
the high speed trainer derivative of the Buckingham. In 1943 the
Air
Ministry
issued Spec.T13/43 and the Buckingham design was modified to fit this
criteria
With 2,400 hp Centaurus XI engines this
was clearly a very advanced trainer. Provision
was made for two side-by-side pilots
with a radio operator in the rear. In all 110 were built,
half of which had originally been laid
down as Buckinghams.
