YU-SAO   Spartan Cruiser II                                    (c/n  6)

Three Spartan Cruisers were flown by Aeroput, the national airline of Yugoslavia, one of which
was licence-built in the Zmaj aircraft factory.  YU-SAO. named 'Susak' was the former G-ACMW
and reached Belgrade in April 1934.  The above hangar shot is from the Djordje Nokolic collection.
Produced at the Saro factory on the Isle of Wight in the early 1930s, I personally thought that it
was a particularly ugly aircraft!   Kind of an early day Drover.
