S-AAAC  Junkers F.13                                       (c/n 715)

AB Aerotransport was formed in March 1924, using a single Junkers F.13.   The first revenue
flight, from Stockholm to Helsinki, was undertaken on 2 June 1924.  In 1928 a night air mail
flight was flown by this F.13 to London.  Three engined Junkers types were added in 1927,
and a route to Germany was opened.  Later named ABA Swedish Airlines, the line was
government controlled in 1935.      After WW II it became part of SILA, Swedish Inter-
continental Airlines and in 1948 became part of the Scandinavian Airlines System consortium.   .
S-AAAC was the former D-343, and in 1930 re-registered SE-AAC.  It was preserved and
is on display at the Swedish National Museum of Science and Technology in Stockholm.

                                       SAS.
