PH-TDW Douglas DC-3
(c/n 13458)
Another rotogravure image taken from my father's scrapbook. Poor
though it is, it does illus-
trate the immediate post WW II
livery with the registration on the fuselage side. PH-TDW
was built as a C-47A-25-DK (42-108961)
which had served in the RAF as Dakota IV
KG646 before being civilianized in
1947 as PH-TDW. It was re-registered PH-DAW in
1954. In the 1970s it
went out to Surinam (the old Dutch Guiana) as PZ-TLA.
