                                     Nice study of a KLM DC-4 in the immediate post WW II period.    This aircraft was a new, 1946
                                     purpose built DC-4, and was one of  four such aircraft purchased by the airline to augment their ex
                                     C-54 fleet.  KLM's DC-4s were used on the longer stage routes from Amsterdam to Rome, Madrid
                                     and Lisbon.   PH-TAR spent a year on loan to the West Indies Division in 1948 as PJ-TAR   Return-
                                     ing to Holland at the end of 1948  it was sold off to Iberia as EC-AEK.
