PH-ALR  Douglas DC-3-G2                                           (c/n 1939)

                             

                                  PH-ALR "Reiger" was a Santa Monica built (vs Fokker-built) DC-3 delivered to KLM in
                                  April 1937.  It escaped to England just before the Nazi invasion and became G-AGBC.  It
                                  was used in the early days of WW II on runs from Whitchurch to Lisbon and Gibraltar.
                                  G-AGBC was written off in a crash at Heston in September 1940 while landing in dense fog.
