I-DALJ  Savioa-Marchetti SM.95                                    (c/n  8)

                              

                                    I-DALJ, named "Cristoforo Columbus"  was actually the first SM.95 delivered to Alitalia
                                    (in 1947).   It is seen here at Ciampino in 1949.  Note Fiat G-12LB I-DALB (c/n 96) in the
                                    background.   I-DALJ was withdrawn from use in 1950.
