HB-APA  de Havilland D.H.89 Dragon Rapide                  (c/n  6250)

                                 

                                    Here's a great Swissair shot of a Rapide.  This aircraft was actually the first production Dragon
                                    Rapide.  Swissair acquired three of these mini airliners in 1937 for domestic services.  HB-APA
                                    had originally been delivered to a Swiss customer in 1934 as CH287   It was then re-registered
                                    HB-ARA and became HB-APA when Swissair took it over in 1937.
