A less than spectacular image from the Rodney Brown
collection of a BEA DC-3 at London
in the mid 1950s. However, it does serve to depict the then
current livery of the airline.
-HCX was the former RAF Dakota III KG604, joined BEA
in September 1946 as 'R.M.A,
Spencer Gray' and was sold to
Yemen Airlines (Yemenia) in July of 1962 as YE-ABC (later
4W-ABC). It was withdrawn from use in Yemen and presumably
scrapped at Sana'a.
