EI-ABK de Havilland D.H.86 Express
(c/n 2338)

Aer Lingus'
second aircraft was this D.H.86, purchased in 1936. It was
formerly G-ADVJ, and
with it the
Irish airline began services to London (Croydon). Later, in
1939, the airline acquired
two
Lockheed 14s and soon after that a DC-3. In 1946 EI-ABK
returned to the British register
as
G-ADVJ. It was written off in 1952 at Bahrein.
