TC-SEC   Vickers 794 Viscount                        (c/n  246)

                              

                                   TC-SEC, seen here in these images from the Jerry Elmas collection, was the first of five Viscounts
                                   flown by Turkey's state airline, THY.   Delivered in 1958, they were all taken over by the Turkish Air
                                   Force when their civilian airliner days were done, in 1971/72.    They were given serials matching their
                                   c/ns, this one becoming "246".    Seen immediately below is a manufacturer's shot showing the original
                                   Turkish Flag' tail, and fuselage side registration, livery.   This scheme was somewhat short-lived and
                                   replaced with the markings seen above and also in the color shot at the foot of the page.
