ZS-BRW   Douglas DC-3                                     (c/n  13468)

Pan African Air Charter was a non scheduled outfit with several DC-3s, converted from
military machines at Bovingdon, Herts, in 1948.  ZS-BRW was built as a C-47A-25-DK
with serial 42-108962.  It was seconded to the RAF in 1944 as KG651 and civilianized
in November 1948.  Although South African registered, the company ran (nefarious?)
flights mainly between Europe and the newly founded Israel.  The above shot is from the
Will Blunt collection.    ZS-BRW was sold to Cyprus Airways in 1951 becoming G-AMHJ.
It then had a series of different owners in the U.K. and was still in one piece in 2014 when
it was acquired by The RAF Transport Command Memorial.  Current status unknown.
