                                    A rare shot of a Misr Airlines Rapide taken on the ramp at Lydda Airport in what was then Palestine
                                    in the mid 1940s. (Originally named Lod Airport, this airport  would go on to become Ben Gurion
                                    International).     The above image comes from Derek Hughey's collection of photographs taken in
                                    Palestine during and after WW II..  .  SU-ABS was one of five Rapides operated by the Egyptian
                                    carrier.
