ET-T-35 Lockheed
L-749
(c/n 2608)
ET-T-35 was an ex-USAAF C-121A
(48-0617) which was converted to L-749 standard
and donated to
Ethiopian in April of 1957. It was used to open up the route to
London, where
this
rare Jennifer Gradidge shot was taken. Unfortunately its
service was very short lived for,
on 10
July 1957 it was lost when the number 2 engine lost power in climbing
out of Khartoum.
The Connie forced landed in the desert some 50 km south of that city,
and was written off.
