CF-TEC
Douglas DC-3CS1C3G
(c/n 12597)
Cf-TEC was built as a C-47A-15-DK
Strytrain with serial number 42-92761. It was assigned to
the RAF as a Douglas Dakota III
and given the serial KG485. Post WW II it was
civilianized in
1946 for Trans Canada Air
Lines. The image above was taken at Edmonton in the late
1940s.
CF-TEC lived long enough to be
absorbed into the Air Canada fleet when TCA changed its name
in 1964, although it was sold off
soon afterwards to Buffalo Airways. The aircraft was last reported
as derelict at Red Deer Airport,
Alberta.
