M20A was an improved version of the four-seat Mooney M20 first
introduced in 1953. Power
was provided by a 180 hp
Lycoming O-360-A1A engine. Never noted for cabin comfort, Mooneys
to itself to a group of owners who regarded them with the same
Bellanca pilots revered their Cruisairs a generation before.
Mooneys were not
that common in Canada
in the '50s and
'60s. This one was at Vancouver in 1960.
