CF-DJF-X  de Havilland Canada DHC-1 Chipmunk                


                                                 This is a de Havilland of Canada Aircraft Co photograph (dated November, 1946) of the second
                                                 Chipmunk prototype.   The "-X" in the rego only appears on the fuselage.  The first protoype was
                                                 CF-DIO-X.  The machine illustrated above was unfortunately destroyed in a crash on 19 January
                                                 1947 in what was, in essence, the first spinning accident involving a Chipmunk.  For more on
