CF-BMW  Barkley-Grow T8P-1                     (c/n   6)

                                          

                                                The Barkley-Grow T8P-1 was a kind of a cross between a Lockheed 10A Electra and a
                                                Beech 18, although it had a fixed undercarriage.  It employed a unique patented "multi-spar"
                                                all metal wing which provideed exceptional bending and torsional strength.  When sales in
                                                the U.S. failed to take off, it was marketed north of the border, where most of the only eleven
                                                machines built were registered.    This one was built for Yukon Southern Air Transport and
                                                passed to Canadian Pacific in 1943 when that former carrier was absorbed..  It was sold to
                                               Associated Airways of Edmonton in 1949.
