CF-AUD Fokker F.14a

Here's an F.14 with a difference. The
"a" model had the wing attached directly to the fuselage, as
opposed
to the parasol wing of the F.14. In addition, the pilot's cockpit
was moved forward of
the wing. In essence, it was an entirely different
aircraft. I would have given it a new type number.
Only
one was built and registered (N)X844W It was sold to the
McDonald Hotel in 1933 and
became CF-AUD as
seen above. CF-AUD was lost in a take-off accident at
Edmonton Airport
on
24 March 1934.
