Douglas C-74 Globemaster   N3183G            (c/n 13923)

                                          

                                              Three or four Globemasters found their way onto the US civil register in the late 1950s.  This one
                                              wound up at Long Beach where the above shot was taken. It was formerly with MATS as 42-65412,
                                              and was scrapped in 1964.  Note Cessna T-50 in foreground and the tails of two Stinsons, a 105 and
                                              a 108, a Ryan Navion and a Beech Staggerwing.
