Some 90% of the Army Air
Corps bombadiers received their training on this type of aircraft.
It was
basically a Beech 18 with a glazed nose and a dorsal turret, both of
which were faired
over when the
aircraft was adapted for civilian use. This example was seen at
Santa Monica
Municipal Airport (Clover Field) in December
of 1958. Unfortunately I havc no data on the
previous
identity of this machine.
