Trans Caribbean Airways   Curtiss C-46  N69346              (c/n  22401)

                                    

                                         Trans Caribbean only operated two C-46s; this one and N69343.  They were the first civilian
                                         owners of this ex C-46F-1-CU (44-78578), having taken delivery of it in June 1948.       Bill
                                         Larkins' shot above was taken at Oakland in September 1952.   It was later leased to Meteor
                                         Air Transport and Capitol Airways for their Quicktrans Navy contract (see foot of that page
                                         for a photo of it in that livery).    It had many many owners later in its career and finally wound
                                         up in Colombia as HK-3205.
