Diamond DA.40 Star N466PS
(c/n 40.464)

Austrian company Diamond
Aircraft Industries claims to be the third largest manufacturer of light
aircraft in the world. I don't doubt it. Some 3,500 DA.20s
and DA.40s have been produced both
at the parent plant in Friesach, Carinthia and also in
Canada. The above DA.40 is owned by a
Moorpark, California corporation
and based at Santa Paula
Airport, where I captured it basking
on the
ramp in August 2007, whilst the one below was at El Monte Airport in
October 2012.
