                                      United used to like to take publicity photographs over San Francisco.  This one is particularly lovely,
                                      with the Oakland Bay Bridge clearly seen under the aircraft's nose.    It was delivered at the end of
                                      1946 and was named "Mainliner New York".  This aircraft flew transcontinental services with the
                                      airline until 1969 when it was broken up at Tracy, California.
