Transcontinental
& Western Air Douglas DC-3-209 NC17323
(c/n 1969)
TWA ordered DC-3s in 1937. Including
the ex C-47/C-53s they picked up after WW II they
owned
over 100 of them at one time or another. The pre-war ones were
delivered as seen above
in "The Lindbergh Line" livery, a
slogan stemming from the Transcontinental Air Transport days.
This busy scene was at Newark Airport, circa
1940.
