Northwest Airways Waco JYM
(c/n D-2)

Several of the
photographs I received from Northwest Airlines back in the 1940s
depicted aircraft
taken at night. I suppose
this was to convince the public, at the time, that night flying was
completely
safe. This heavily re-touched image illustrates a Waco Taperwing
which was another machine used
only for the transport of the
mails on CAM 9 between Minneapolis and Chicago.
