Northwest Airlines
Boeing 727-051 N461US (c/n 18797)
Commencing in the 1960s and for the next three decades,
Northwest made tremendous use of that
workhorse of the world's
airlines, the Boeing 727. They operated some forty of this short
bodied
version at various
times. Although received from Northwest, this image is
clearly a manufacturer's
print, taken over Mt. Ranier. When the series
200s were delivered, many of the older -051s were
sold off, this one going to
Pacific Southwest Airlines as N973PS in 1977
