National
Airlines Douglas
DC-7
N8205H
(c/n 44171)

N8205H was delivered new to National in 1953. The
DC-7s were usurped in the early 1960s
by first, the
turbo-props, and later the pure jets. Hence their tenure with the
major airlines tended
to be short. This
aircraft was withdrawn from use in 1964, stored in the Arizona desert
for a
couple of years, and
then broken up. An ignomious end for such a fair lady.
