                                        The Douglas DC-6B, urguably the best of the the piston engined DC series (in terms of passenger
                                        comfort, operating costs and cruising speed) was purchased by National in 1952 to augment its fleet
                                        of DC-6s..  N8221H, the first of eight initially ordered, is seen on a pre-delivery test flight over the
                                        Southern California coast line.  It was broken up in 1984.
