Imperial Airlines   Beech 65-B80 Queen Air   N7608L                  (c/n   LD-323)

Before the advent of the purpose-built commuter liner Beechcraft 1900, Beech Aircraft did not build
a truly commercial machine after the Model 18 series had ceased production.  The Queen Air was a
great executive aircraft, but not an ideal airliner and this example in service with Imperial is, therefore,
somewhat of an airline rarity.   Bob Garrard took the above image at Lindbergh Field, San Diego in
July of 1970.  The airline was providing limited daily service from this airport to El Centro, California.
