                                   Hammonds Air Service began operations in September 1977 from a base at Houma, La.  It was
                                   the scheduled operating division of a long-established (and still existing) charter company (Charlie
                                   Hammonds Flying Service).  Daily services linked the Louisiana communities of Houma,  Morgan
                                   City/Patterson Baton Rouge, New Orleans and Lafayette with Houston Hobby Airport, and also
                                   with Pensacola and Panama City, Florida.   The last scheduled flight was made in August 1974.
                                   At least twenty aircraft were used over the years, primarily Piper Navajo Chieftains, but also
                                   including two Twin Otters, one of which is seen above.
