Considered "huge" in its day,
the Condor model CO was a relatively large aircraft,
seating,
as it did, some 18 passengers in relative comfort. It was
actually the commercial version of
the U.S. Army bomber with a wing span of 91 feet (the DC-3's was 95 ft)
. Eastern Air
Transport ordered them to replace their aging Fords. It was
unique for the day in that it
had liquid cooled in-line engines as the shot below, of NC185H, (c/n 1),
illustrates
well.
