Colonial Western
Airways Sikorsky S-38B NC158H (c/n

This murky image came from a Sikorsky Aircraft house organ
in the 1940s. When Colonial
Western
extended its route mileage in the summer of 1929 to include Toronto,
Canada, the
new route was
dubbed "The Scenic AIRway over Niagara. The above shot shows
sightseers
marvelling at the cabin and landing gear of a new "B" model of the
S-38. Canadian Colonial
was
absorbed into American Airways
on 25 January 1930.
