Chicago & Southern
Air Lines Stinson SM-6000-B NC11175
(c/n 5025)

In 1935, after
the fledgling Chicago & Southern had gotten off the ground, so to
speak, Carleton
Putnam, its CEO, realized that larger equipment
would be needed to cope with the growth and
accordingly
purchased several Tri-motor Stinsons from Transamerican Airlines.
This model Stinson
was often
referred to as the model "T". Later in 1935 C & S added a
Chicago to St. Louis schedule.
