Braniff Airways Lockheed 10-A
Electra NC14905
(c/n 1018)

Clearly to service their
expanded network, Braniff needed more capacity than the Lockheed
Vegas could provide and so in 1935 a fleet of seven
10-passenger Lockheed 10-A Electras
was procured. NC14905 was the flagship
of the fleet. The Braniff name and insignia were
a ft
of the cabin door, and "Braniff" above said door. As can be seen in the
next entry, this was
augmented later (in 1938) to give
the airline name in a prominent title. A full load is seen here
embarking at Dallas' love Field in
this 1936 Braniff photogaph.
The shot below came from a montage of photos from Braniff, circa
1948.
